Here are some applications that I have found very useful.

Mass Upload Tool

PicUp is by far the best mass uploading tool for imagevenue. All you do is simply drag files and drop. However, the program is in German, but even if you don't understand German, you'll get used to the positioning of the buttons.

PicUp has been added to this post as an attachment.

Instructions for upload.

1. You drag and drop images into the program window, then select the imagehost you want.
2. Then click "Upload starten".
3. It will start uploading. If you want to abort uploads click "Uploads abbrechen", otherwise, wait until it finishes.
4. The finished code should look something like this. Click "clipboard" to copy the code.

5. You can disable the unneeded text in the settings: click on "weitere Einstellungen..." --> "PicUp Werbetext" --> disable "an VBCode anhängen"


6. Click "Schliessen" to return to the uploading mode.

Download Helper (Firefox Extension)

DownloadHelper is also a free Firefox extension for downloading and converting videos from many sites with minimum effort. Install the extension !

Using DownloadHelper, you can easily save videos from most of the popular video sites. (Click here for lists of supported sites).

It is also possible to capture all the images from a gallery in a single operation.

Note that DownloadHelper does not break any real protection implemented on the sites. It just give an easier access to clear content that will be downloaded by your browser anyway. Unless exceptions, downloaded videos must be kept on your disk for personal use and not shown on other Web sites.

WinRAR

WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can backup your data and reduce the size of email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP and other files downloaded from Internet and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format.

Recommendation: It's simply a MUST HAVE item! You really don't need WinZip if you use WinRAR because it opens both formats and you can save in both formats.
