While on Real Time with Bill Maher, Sean Penn defended Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez against critics.

Penn claims that Chavez has repeatedly won elections and even added that the critics who refer to him as a dictator should be jailed.

"There should be a bar for which one goes to prison for these kinds of biases," said the actor.

WTF?! Chavez even took the time to thank him for his comments!

Penn and the dictator president may be besties, but Sean should stick to what he knows - failed marriages!
