For the first time in six years, American Idol did not win the night in the ratings. They took the silver spot as NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics struck gold!

Seems America is much more interested in seeing the likes of Lindsay Vonn, Apollo Ohno, and Shaun White win medals than Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres tell people they suck!

That's a huge win for NBC!
