"You want to know what broke Brittany Murphy's heart?" Simon Monjack asked Larry King in an interview taped on Friday.

"Hollywood broke Brittany Murphy's heart."

What a statement.

Both Brittany Murphy's husband as well as her mother Sharon Murphy were at the CNN studios in Los Angeles on Friday to tape a segment about their lost loved one.

Larry asked the two how they've been holding up since Murphy's death on December 20th and Simon responded, "I don't think I am. I don't think either of us are…"

"No," Brittany's mom added.

In the interview scheduled to air on Wednesday, both Simon and Sharon go into the heart-wrenching details of the morning of Brittany's death with Larry as well as their lives now without her.

"Sharon and I were holding each other," Monjack remembered. "And they let us know at the same time that they — that she hadn't made it."

"But we knew before that. It was just — you know, you felt her life go out of her," said Sharon.
